Announcement: Jubilee Year 2025 Program

 

 

Dear Cardinal Peter, Bishop Lawrence, priests, religious, seminarians and the community of God’s people of the Archdiocese of Hanoi.

The Archbishop of Hanoi has established the Jubilee Organizing Committee to help the faithful receive the grace of the Jubilee in the best way. After the meeting, I would like to represent the Archbishop and the Jubilee Organizing Committee to announce the Jubilee program as follows:

1. The locations chosen for pilgrimage to celebrate the Holy Year: Hanoi Cathedral, So Kien Minor Basilica, Vinh Tri Parish Church, But Dong Parish Church, Bang So Parish Church, Tu Chau Parish Church and Muong Cat Parish Church.

2. During the Holy Year, in addition to the Opening and Closing Masses, there will be 11 Diocesan pilgrimages for all members of the Archdiocese, pilgrimages at the Deanery, Parish and individual levels. 3.  The Holy Year Opening Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Joseph at Hanoi Cathedral at 9:00 a.m. on December 29, 2024. The opening ceremony begins at the Bishop’s Palace yard, after which the pilgrimage procession carries the Holy Year Cross from the Bishop’s Palace yard, through Nha Chung Street, and into the Cathedral.

4. The Closing Mass of the Holy Year will be celebrated by Archbishop Joseph at the Minor Basilica of So Kien, at 10:00 a.m., December 28, 2025.

5.  Diocesan Masses will be broadcast live on the following channels:

We respectfully invite Cardinal Peter, Bishop Lawrence, the dignitaries and the entire community of God’s people to attend the Holy Mass and pilgrimage of the Holy Year, especially the Opening and Closing Masses of the Holy Year.
