October 22–23, 2025 | St. John of God Conference Centre
From October 22 to 23, 2025, all priests and deacon of the Diocese of Aitape gathered together with the Bishop at the St. John of God Conference Centre for the annual Clergy Conference. This gathering provided an important opportunity to review pastoral activities and ongoing diocesan projects, as well as to discuss new directions and priorities for the coming year.
Throughout the two days, participants reflected on the pastoral life of the parishes, shared experiences from the mission areas, and evaluated current ministries in light of the spiritual needs of the faithful. The conference also focused on planning future projects aimed at strengthening the life of the Church, especially during this Year of Jubilee and the Eucharistic Year of the Diocese.
The conference concluded with a con-celebrated Mass presided over by Fr. Hugh, OFM, together with the presbyterate. In his concluding message, the Bishop expressed heartfelt gratitude to all priests and deacon for their dedication and service, and he also extended his appreciation to the religious communities and all the faithful who continue to contribute to the building of a strong spiritual life within the Diocese.
The Bishop encouraged everyone to remain united in mission, to draw strength from the Eucharist, and to continue working together to foster faith, hope, and charity throughout all communities of the Diocese.
